CHALLENGES

One of the primary challenges encountered within the client’s
ecosystem pertained to seamlessly integrating the backends of Credit
Saison India while maintaining stringent security protocols.

An additional challenge emerged in the form of implementing polling-
based integration atop the platform.

SOLUTIONS

To address these challenges, Euphoric suggested implementing robust
solutions leveraging tools such as CryptoJS to facilitate secure API
calls utilizing HMAC configuration. This ensured that data
transmission between Credit Saison and the client portal remained
encrypted and protected, mitigating potential security risks.
To overcome the later obstacle, we devised a custom approach tailored
to the specific requirements of the client. By leveraging our expertise
and deep understanding of the platform’s architecture, we implemented
bespoke solutions that seamlessly integrated polling mechanisms,

monitoring solution leveraging custom exporters, Prometheus, and
Grafana.
The implementation of this solution followed a structured approach:

  1. Identifying the key metrics and defining the data collection and
    visualization strategy.
  2. Building the custom exporters and configuring
    Prometheus and Grafana.
  3. Rolling out the exporters across all nodes and setting up the
    Prometheus and Grafana infrastructure.

The lack of a visualization platform for managing daily issues in the client’s cloud infrastructure presented a challenge. The team lacked a solution to address day-to-day issues triggered by the cloud infrastructure and the application. Maintaining uptime was crucial to ensure uninterrupted access to Microsoft accounts for client users, as any downtime would result in significant disruption, preventing users from logging in and accessing essential services.
The complex infrastructure, with numerous endpoints, required a robust monitoring and alerting system to manage effectively.
Log management was another significant challenge, with millions of logs generated each hour that needed to be stored, retrieved, and
analyzed efficiently.
Simplifying the debugging process to reduce time and complexity was critical for maintaining high service levels.

SOLUTIONS

To address these challenges, our team opted for a
comprehensive monitoring solution, and the implementation of
this solution followed a structured approach:

Monitoring and Alerting:
1. Prometheus: Implemented for real-time monitoring of
infrastructure metrics.
2. Grafana: Used to create detailed and customizable dashboards for
visualizing metrics and setting up alerts.
3. Node Exporter: Deployed to collect hardware and OS metrics.
4. Uptime Kuma: Ensured continuous uptime monitoring of various
endpoints, providing instant alerts in case of any downtime.

Log Management:
1. AWS OpenSearch: Utilized to manage and query the vast number
of logs generated every hour.
2. Euphoric Thought Technologies’ Custom Python App: Developed a
bespoke application to fetch logs from OpenSearch via both CLI
and GUI. This tool significantly reduced the time required for
debugging and simplified the log retrieval process.

Enhanced Security and Access:
1. Single Sign-On (SSO): Implemented SSO to streamline user
authentication across multiple applications, enhancing security
and user experience.
2. Identity Security Features: Leveraged features like adaptive MultiFactor Authentication (MFA), privileged access management, and
real-time review campaigns to bolster overall security.

CHALLENGES

The client intended to provide more value to its existing
customers by incorporating a chatbot into their website, resulting
in a customer and sales-engaging solution.
To achieve this goal, we created a Webchat system with powerful
automation features that enable the easy design and integration
of the chatbot into the website.

SOLUTIONS

After analyzing the requirements in a detailed manner, the team
came to the solution of creating a chatbot system using Python
services and the Flask framework to handle the training and setup
of the chatbots. OpenAI was leveraged for the entire chatbot
responses. The data was handled from the client’s graphQL
integration.

Two different modules were created based on the requirements.

  • Webchat – Creation of webchat along with chatbot setup and implementation of backend API. It also allows the setup of frontends like color, fallback messages, welcome messages, etc for every chatbot.
  • Chatbot FE – Automated creation of a chatbot that can be plugged into the customer’s portal directly. The responses are using OpenAI and scrape publicly available data. It also responds, in certain cases, captures client’s information through their GraphQL API and responds.

  • It allowed the customers of the client to create multiple chatbots and plug in the chatbots to their websites.

CHALLENGES

The client, a provider of solar PV modules and solar power solutions, faced significant challenges in customer and lead management.
The field sales and service representatives were not tagged with the correct customers based on the location and the service requirement. The lack of integration hindered communication and collaboration among their sales, marketing, and customer service teams, leading to poor coordination during the solar panel installation process.
To overcome these issues, the client sought the development of a mobile
and web app that would offer shared data and integrated communication tools for all roles involved.

SOLUTIONS

To overcome these challenges, Euphoric’s Team decided to build a Lead
Management System for effective customer management. The application
helped manage the workforce in terms of assigning roles and managing
customer meetings.

To meet the requirement of creating a web app that is going to act as an
admin portal, the Euphoric Team leveraged the capabilities of the React JS
framework, integrating with the mobile app version, the technology was
flexible enough to use many packages that helped to decrease the workload
and make the process more efficient. The framework also helped in
seamless code reusability due to its component-based architecture.

To make the web app look modern, Euphoric Team used a UI library called
‘Chakra UI’ that helped to create consistent and visually appealing user
interfaces with minimal effort.

For API integration, Redux Toolkit was used which simplifies Redux by
streamlining store configuration, reducing boilerplate, and integrating
essential packages and best practices out of the box.

  • Real-time dashboard for all user roles that helped users to know their standings/ranks across all offices.
  • Holiday management for users to correctly assign the created appointments.

The absence of a centralized log management system posed significant hurdles in swiftly pinpointing the underlying causes of payment discrepancies, alongside code bugs, feature malfunctions, API invocation logs, and response message diagnostics.

SOLUTION

To address these challenges, Euphoric suggested Graylog for a comprehensive log management and analysis solution. Key elements of the Graylog implementation included:

  1. Centralized Log Collection: Graylog was deployed to collect logs from various sources, including servers, network devices, and applications, providing a centralized repository for log data.
  2. Real-time Analysis: Graylog’s real-time log analysis capabilities allowed the company to monitor network traffic and security events as they happened, improving threat detection and response times.
  3. Custom Dashboards and Alerts: Customized dashboards and alerting in Graylog provided actionable insights and notifications for security incidents and operational issues.
  4. Enabling Exception Logs – Turning on the Detective Mode. Exception logs were activated, empowering Graylog to capture critical details during unsuccessful payments. This detective mode became the key to understanding the root causes.

CHALLENGES

The client reached out to Euphoric’s team with the following challenges in place:

  1. Complex Infrastructure: The client’s data center housed numerous VMware VMs with interconnected applications, databases, and services. Migrating this complex environment while ensuring data integrity and application compatibility was a primary challenge.
  2. Minimal downtime: The financial services sector operates around the clock. The client required a migration strategy that would minimize downtime during the migration process to avoid any negative impact on customer services.
  3. Resource Allocation: Selecting the appropriate Azure virtual machine sizes and configurations to match the on-premise VMs’ performance was critical to ensure consistent application performance post-migration.
  4. Network Connectivity: Ensuring a seamless network transition from the on-premise environment to Azure’s cloud network infrastructure required careful planning to maintain secure and efficient communication.

 

SOLUTIONS

  1. Assessment and Planning: An in-depth assessment of the on-premise VMware environment was conducted to identify VM dependencies, application interconnections, and performance characteristics. A detailed migration plan was devised, outlining the migration sequence, timelines, and resource allocation. Azure Cloud Design: Azure resources were provisioned to replicate the onpremise VM environment. Azure Virtual Machines were chosen based on the performance and resource requirements of the existing VMs.
  2. Network Connectivity: Azure Virtual Network was established to mirror the onpremise network configuration, including subnets and security groups. Site-toSite VPN or Azure ExpressRoute was configured for secure data transfer. Data Migration: The client used Azure Site Recovery to replicate on-premise VMs to Azure. Once replication was established, a final synchronization was performed to minimize data loss during cutover.
  3. Testing and Validation: A comprehensive testing phase was executed to ensure that the migrated VMs functioned properly in the Azure environment. Application functionality, data integrity, and performance were rigorously tested.
  4. Cutover and Validation: After successful testing, a scheduled maintenance window was chosen for the cutover. During this window, the final synchronization was completed, and DNS records were updated to point to the new Azure VMs.

  1. Minimized Downtime: By using the lift-and-shift approach, ABC Enterprises was able to minimize downtime during the migration. This ensured that critical financial services remained operational without disruptions.

Performance Consistency: The Azure VMs were selected and configured to match the performance requirements of the on-premise VMs, ensuring consistent application performance.

Cost Savings: While the initial investment was required for Azure resources, the client anticipated long-term cost savings due to reduced hardware maintenance and increased efficiency.

The client’s key issue was monitoring, assessing, and troubleshooting system behaviours and performance. System availability and user experience were being significantly impacted by the lack of visibility, which was delaying the identification and resolution of problems.

SOLUTIONS
Euphoric implemented a comprehensive strategy for centralized monitoring of multiple Kubernetes clusters across AWS accounts using Prometheus, Alert Manager, and Grafana. Prometheus was used to manage metrics from clusters, while Grafana was used for creating dashboards to display performance and resources. The system restricted access to sensitive environments, while the Alert manager centralized Prometheus data and provided centralized alert rules for DevOps teams to address issues in different Kubernetes clusters.

Centralized monitoring dramatically improved the client’s operational visibility across their AWS EKS clusters.
